New platform online for real-time PV and meteorological data

As part of the LAPERITIVO project, the Hellenic Mediterranean University (HMU) has developed an online, open-data, and user-friendly platform that provides real-time access to meteorological and photovoltaic (PV) performance data.

The platform enables real-time monitoring of:

  • Meteorological parameters: irradiance, air pressure, wind speed, ambient temperature, and relative humidity

  • Electrical characteristics of PV modules: full I–V curves available for every one-minute time stamp

Data on the performances of the single junction and 4-terminal tandem modules developed within the LAPERITIVO project will be collected during outdoor testing campaigns conducted at HMU and other partner facilities, as well as during demonstration activities at the sites of HMUUniversità di Roma Tor Vergata (UNITOV), and Engie Laborelec.

This tool ensures that all LAPERITIVO partners have easy and immediate access to real-time outdoor testing and demonstration data, supporting a wide range of research activities — including module lifetime prediction, environmental impact assessment, and LCOE evaluation.
