Contribution to the FuturePV Workshop!

We were honored to take part in the FuturePV Workshop, held from May 20–22 in Nicosia, Cyprus—a dynamic event brilliantly organized by the TESTARE Project, and the dedicated team at the University of Cyprus.

This workshop brought together researchers, innovators, and stakeholders from across the photovoltaic (PV) landscape to exchange insights and accelerate progress in next-generation solar technologies.

Our HEU project took the spotlight with a compelling overview presented by our project coordinator, Yinghuan Kuang (imec). His talk focused on our mission to scale up perovskite solar modules toward manufacturing readiness—an essential milestone for translating lab-scale breakthroughs into real-world applications.

Another highlight was the presentation by Mariska de Wild-Scholten (SmartGreenScans), who shared her expertise on the environmental footprint of perovskite PV technologies. Her deep dive into Life Cycle Assessment (LCA)—from raw material sourcing to end-of-life strategies—underscored the importance of sustainability as we pave the way for the future of solar energy. 🌱📉

A heartfelt thank you to all the participants for their valuable contributions and to the organizers for creating such a collaborative and forward-looking environment. We left Nicosia energized and more committed than ever to pushing the boundaries of photovoltaic innovation.

Here’s to a brighter, more sustainable energy future! ⚡
